Sound familiar?
The kind of thing every team says sooner or later.
We lost the deal on price. Nobody knew they'd dropped theirs.
SalesOur battlecard still says they don't do that.
MarketingI asked ChatGPT about them. It was months out of date, and very sure of itself.
ProductThe board asked what they're up to, and I had nothing.

Intelligence depends on who's asking.
The facts about a competitor are the same for everyone. What they mean for you isn't: that depends on your products, your customers and the decision in front of you.
A competitor launches a cheaper plan.
- Sales
Which of my open deals will bring this up?
- Product
Is this a feature gap or a pricing play?
- Marketing
Does our positioning still hold?
- Leadership
Is this a blip or a change of direction?
Most tools stop at the first line. We're building for everything after it: one understanding of your market, connected to your business and useful wherever your team works. What it does first is up to the people who'd use it.
How it works
Join
Your email, role and company size. It takes under a minute.
Tell us how you work
A few short questions about real situations. Answer as many as you like, and earn points and a contribution rank as a thank-you.
Help test it
We'll share what we learn, and invite people to try Kestrel on real work when it fits theirs.
Questions
Anything else? Email hello@kestrelhq.co and Ollie will reply.
What is Kestrel, exactly?
Competitive intelligence that's connected to your business and useful to everyone who needs it. We're keeping the details open for now, because what we build first depends on what we hear.
Who is it for?
Anyone at a growing company whose work depends on knowing what competitors are doing: founders, sales, marketing, product and leadership.
What happens to my answers?
Ollie reads every one, and they decide what we build first. Anything we share is anonymised and aggregated, and we never sell your data.
How do points work?
50 points for each set of questions you answer, and 10 for each person who joins with your link and confirms their email (up to 2). They're a thank-you, not a ticket: beta invitations go to people whose work Kestrel fits.
Does it cost anything?
No. Joining and answering are free, and we'll be upfront about pricing long before anyone is asked to pay.
When can I use it?
We'll invite small groups to try it as parts become ready. We'd rather not promise a date we might miss.
Help shape it.
If competitors matter to your work, we'd love to hear how you handle them today. It takes a minute to join.
